These great movies good enough without huge advertising and propagation make me always happy. It was case of “Crash”, which was put into the cinemas as totally unknown movie, may be even limited if I’m right, and now see how it finished. Few Oscars. On the other hand, there’s also a lot of movies, which are total crap, but because of ads, wallpapers or billboards everywhere, they are more successfull than these with lower budget. Running Scared seems to fit into the first category - you will not find famous actors in this, but it’s probably a quite good movie. New Telesync reencoded into XviD can prove it yourself…

Joey Gazelle (Paul Walker) is a low level mob flunkie whose role is to dispose of “hot” guns from mob killings. We soon find out that Joey has been hiding these guns in the drywall of his basement, instead of tossing them in the river. When Joey’s 10 year-old son (Alex Neuberger) and his best friend, Oleg (Cameron Bright), witness Joey hiding some guns from a botched drug deal, Oleg steals one of the guns — a snub-nosed .38 (used to kill a dirty cop) — and shoots his abusive stepfather (Karel Roden) with it. Things would be bad enough if the stepfather didn’t happen to be the nephew of a psychotic Russian mob boss (John Noble)… who happens to be in business with Joey’s crew on a gasoline scam. But now Joey’s also got the surviving dirty cop (Chazz Palminteri) from the botched drug deal on his case… and that hot .38 out there on the street, changing hands in an underworld of freaks, pimps, hookers and pedophiles. As well as Oleg, who can connect Joey to the gun. And even if Joey can make it through the night, he’s still got to answer to his wife (Vera Farmiga)…

Damn, a lot of new movies were released in last hour. I’ll start with final, retail dvdrip of comedy “Cheaper by the Dozen 2″. Guys from well known group LiNE released movie about one huge family just about an hour ago, on 1 CD.

The jumbo-sized Baker family are back in this sequel to the 2003 box-office hit Cheaper by the Dozen. College football coach Tom Baker (Steve Martin) and his wife, author Kate Baker ( Bonnie Hunt), have decided its time they took their sizable brood of 12 children on a summer vacation, and so they pack up the cars and take the kids to Lake Winnetka for some camping. Not all the kids are happy about this, but the one who is really annoyed turns out to be Tom, who discovers his old rival Jimmy Murtaugh (Eugene Levy) is also staying near the lake. Jimmy and his trophy wife, Sarina (Carmen Electra), also have a large family of eight children, and Jimmy and Tom seem intent upon one-upping each other at every opportunity.

After the fullscreen dvdrip of nice adventure fairy tale The Chronicles of Narnia was today released also widescreen one, again by Diamon on 2 CDs with great picture quality. This time only with MP3 audio, but it’s still pretty good release…

Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy are deported from London to the house of an eccentric professor during World War II. They find life in the house extremely dull, until Lucy discovers a wardrobe that leads to a magical world called Narnia, where animals can talk and all are ruled over by the wise and benevolent lion Aslan. The others don’t believe her at first, but soon all of them go through the wardrobe and discover all is not well in Narnia. The land is being kept in a perpetual winter by the evil White Witch, Jadis, who turns anyone who doesn’t obey her into stone. The children join Aslan and the animals loyal to him in an attempt to vanquish Jadis.

There is new cam available, just one day after world premiere of new horror “The Hills Have Eyes”. It looks like quite good movie, after Hostel and some others, which weren’t actually that good. Group PrideVCD did decent job on this cam, it’s just a little dark and choppy. Audio is very good. You can check out release samples linked at the bottom.

Wes Craven produces this remake of his 1977 classic of the same name, about the Carters, an idyllic American family travelling through the great American southwest. After many cams, telesyncs and other less quality releases is time for something little better. One of the oldest release group, ViTE, did a pretty good work on this new dvdrip of thriller Stay with Ewan McGregor in the main role. These guys from ViTE haven’t released any kind of shit, but focused on blockbusters like Star Wars, Pirates of Carribean, The Ring, etc, so don’t worry about quality…

A really great movie Lord of War with Nicolas Cage is now available in another dvdrip. I’m using another because this new release from iNCiTE was nuked because of dupe - guys from ESPiSE released it at the end of December. Actually, it’s third or fourth dvdrip, because at the beginning of December was released also another version by group xV and then again by NeDIVx, which were both nuked because of non-retail source. So this new version looks like another chance for those who missed previous versions…

This film charts the rise and fall of Yuri Orlov, from his early days in the early 1980s in Little Odessa, selling guns to mobsters in his local neighbourhood, through to his ascension through the decade of excess and indulgence into the early 90s, where he forms a business partnership with an African warlord and his psychotic son. So it will not be that bad as I thought, because just few minutes after this Game of Their Lives is here next decent movie. This time, its a animated comedy called Hoodwinked, which can really look some movie for children, but it’s not that childish. This release is only telecine from unknown group Wrixle, so don’t expect somehow awesome quality, but it should be watchable.

An updated re-telling of the classic Brothers Grimm fairy tale “Little Red Riding Hood.” The satire begins where the fable last left off, as there’s always more to every tale than meets the eye! Furry and feathered cops from the animal world, Chief Grizzly and Detective Bill Stork, investigate a domestic disturbance at Granny’s cottage, involving a girl, a wolf and an axe. The charges are many: breaking and entering, disturbing the peace, intent to eat, and wielding an axe without a license. Not to mention, this case might be tied to the elusive “Goody Bandit” who has been stealing the recipes of goody shops everywhere.
