The title says it all, we got here another crappy movie! Basic Instinct, released in 1992, was quite a good movie, but this reincarnation with only aim - earn more money from well-known name - can’t succeed. Anyway, you can still see Sharon Stone in the main role, but Michael Douglas is gone…
Novelist Catherine Tramell (Stone) drives a car at high speed while her current boyfriend, an English football player named Kevin Franks (played by former England player Stan Collymore), fondles her. The car plunges into the Thames. She reaches the shore safely, but he drowns. She is suspected of being guilty of his death. Scotland Yard appoints psychiatrist Dr. Michael Glass (Morrissey) to evaluate Tramell before she goes on trial. Eventually, Tramell is not prosecuted and she approaches Glass to be her psychiatrist and subject of her next novel. Like Detective Nick Curran (who was apparently killed by Catherine) before him, Glass is entranced by Tramell and lured into a seductive game of “hide the salami in grandma’s wrinkles”.
